I am a Board Certified Family Practice Physician. I was an independent solo Family Medicine practitioner for the last 7 years of practice and had been in practice for over 21 years. In addition to a full time practice caring for all ages, I was actively involved as a clinical instructor (clinical internships) for the Physician Assistant program associated with Gannon University in Erie, Pa, as well as a clinical instructor (clinical externships) with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and Pharmacists in training through the PharmD program at the LECOM campus. I instructed students during clinical rotations from Hershey Medical Center, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Physician Assistant Program at Marietta College, Ohio. I am currently serving as a Preceptor for Residents in the Family Medicine Residency program at Saint Vincent Health Center for clinical rotations in Geriatric as well as precepting in the Family Medicine Clinic.Prior to the closure of Metro Health Center in Erie, Pa., I served for several years as the Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Utilization Review while maintaining my status as a Diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. I maintained privileges at Metro Health Center Erie, Pa. (until closing) and was on staff at UPMC Hamot Medical Center for >20years and relinquished my privileges at the cessation of my private practice.I am a member of the American Medical Directors Association. I have an special interest in Geriatric Medicine and currently serve as the Medical Director at 3 skilled nursing facilities.I am currently employed by the Allegheny Health Network as the Medical Director of Post Acute Care Services in Erie, Pa. in an administrative and clinical role.
