Working as the principal system integration test engineer on the Sensus UK DECC Smart Metering program my role included:• Subject Matter Expert for the wide are radio network that supports the north region DECC Smart Metering rollout (~1,500 base stations, ~10,000,000 endpoints 400MHz). Subjects include:• Frequency Management.• Propagation Planning Design.• Radio Network Tuning.• High Availability Application Management• High Performance Application Clustering• Supporting the customer’s program integration, test and acceptance phases.• Provision of a technical interface between the customer and US based Sensus development teams.• Training of internal and external system users and support engineers.• Service Desk Tool Selection and Consultation.• Occasional US and European travel.

Working as the principal test engineer on the Yahsat program my role included:• Subject Matter Expert for the complex planning and activation business process sequences in a customer facing role both in the UK and the UAE. This involved frequent travel overseas.• Demonstrating the system to the customer and other stakeholders.• Designing the executing the test campaigns for both the integration and acceptance program phases.• Creating and maintenance of the test network drawings covering all aspects of the test campaigns from ordered parameters to radio link properties and ingress data characteristics.• Liaising with the network implementation engineers, development teams and requirements managers to ensure that the test campaigns are correctly targeted.• Problem solving implementation issues to provide feedback for robust solutions.

Working as the senior test analyst on the Galileo KMF program my role included:• Preparing and scheduling component testing phase.• Designing and implementing the element test coverage process.• Preparing for the Factory and Site Acceptance campaigns.

Working as an integration engineer on the Watchkeeper program my role included:• The testing and integration UK Built program components against Air Vehicle simulators.• Supporting the integration of the UK built components with foreign built components. This involved frequent travel overseas.• Management of test rig hardware as the requirements evolved.

Working as a test analyst on the Skynet 5 Management Segment development project my role includes:• Subject Matter Expert on a complicated and diverse software application.• Demonstrating the product to the clients and major stakeholders.• Working closely with a client team through the formal acceptance test and review process.• Analysing the design documentation and defined requirements with the objective of creating structured test scripts.• Executing test scripts against the delivered software builds.• Liaising with the development teams to ensure that any problems that are found during the test run are resolved, either by implementation in the build schedule or by the resolution of data or configuration.• Deployment Team Leader, responsible that all installations were performed correctly and that the system as a whole was in an operational state once the installation was completed.

Working as a business analyst my role included:• Gathering user requirements and designing solutions for the development and maintenance of an integrated global service management system that encompassed: • Trouble ticketing and call management. • Contract administration. • Inventory management (asset management, field transfers, audit trails and reporting). • International sales invoicing.• The day to day management of the development team: • Prioritising the teams work schedules to meet delivery. • Reporting status updates back to the project manager at defined intervals.• Production of bespoke financial and revenue reports from the database.• Taking a number of standalone technical pilot projects from concept to completion including a web based wireless application to enable field users to access and maintain their work schedules remotely from a hand held device.
