David is a trained architect with more than 30 years of experience designing for healthcare, sports, higher education and corporate clients. As design lead for NBBJ’s UK practice, he is acutely aware of the importance of clear design communication and strives for distinctive and functional solutions that promote better living and working.David is especially interested in how planning and design can enhance a city’s health and wellbeing. He has recently delivered the new Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and is the design lead for the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital, which will benefit and support the city’s regeneration, demonstrating how design can impact both a city and its population’s health.David is leading the team on a new multidisciplinary science centre for University of Oxford, which is the university’s largest building project to date, creating a world-class centre for life and mind sciences. He is also leading the London studio in delivering the largest building project to date for the University of Cambridge as well as a new major education hub for City, University of London — improving circulation on the campus, providing teaching, study and a variety of student amenities, while retaining flexibility for future change.
