As the principal engineer, led the development of a new test optimization software product designed to reduce cost of test for optical transceiver manufacturing using optical switching to maximize the usage of expensive equipment.Advanced fiber optic transceiver measurements in IEEE 802.3 400G Ethernet, ITU 50G/100G PON, and Open Eye MSA standards by developing rigorous mathematical theory, demonstrating algorithmic validity, and rapidly deploying prototype measurements. Recognized as the expert on TDEC/TDECQ, making Keysight and FlexDCA the gold standard in the industry, and facilitating over $300M in oscilloscope sales.Created novel Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) calibration and de-embedding algorithms.Developed FlexDCA from the ground up in a team of four. Written in C# and .NET, FlexDCA is a complete replacement for the legacy equivalent time oscilloscope software.Designed and implemented Jitter Mode for FlexDCA. Solely responsible for one of the most complex measurements in the product, requiring advanced mathematics and statistical optimization algorithms.Implemented, and continue to maintain, an automated build system using MS Team Foundation.

Migrated code to new source control system and created build automation.▪ Maintained and developed automated testing software.▪ Planned and organized testing of software within the division.▪ Created standard hard-drive images for use in manufacturing.

▪ Designed error correction coding schemes for various channels using Low Density Parity Check Codes; Implemented the coding schemes in C and Matlab for simulation.▪ Researched various topics in bioinformatics, computational biology, and genetic signal processing including: sequence and gene alignment algorithms, gene regulatory networks, and cDNA micro-array design.

▪ Developed an educational robot as an introduction to Science and Engineering for High School students.▪ Collaborated with team members to: design all electrical components of the robot including Digital and Analog I/O ports, Motor Control System, and Microprocessor Interface with on board systems; create Java libraries to integrate on board systems with microprocessor; and create example Java methods for basic robotic behaviors.▪ Mentored high school students interested in Science and Engineering.
