My role is to coordinate the installers and liaise with the client to ensure the installation is performed safely, efficiently and within a short timeline. Safescape is a young and highly innovative company offering a niche range of products to the mining industry.

RED PL develops renewable energy generation sites from site identification to construction.Reporting to the director of RED, I am responsible for ensuring projects follow a project plan and stay within budget. The role requires regular communications with all stakeholders including consultants responsible for all aspects of development applications (DAs), councils, land owners, financial partners, government agencies, network service providers (NSPs) and legal practitioners to ensure projects progress efficiently and effectively. Maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders is critical to the success of a project. I am responsible for the review of land owner agreements, consultant reports, environmental impact statements (EISs) and DAs. I am also responsible for maintaining project cost and timeline tracking programs. I attend the Allenergy Renewable Energy conferences as well as industry launches and networking events. I also participate in industry webinars and subscribe to many online industry publications to maintain my industry knowledge.

I was asked to join the team to help optimise the newly built spiral plant (SSP) and to help build a new culture focussed on safety and production urgency and efficiency. Many changes were implemented following my arrival, including new spiral models, feed distributors, improved plant configuration and water supply equipment to address design deficiencies. These resulted in higher recovery and grade through the spirals operating closer to their design parameters.The culture has also noticeably changed, with more focus on safety aspects of the site with formal PPE regulations, driving practices and the introduction of safety visits.

The Production Superintendent is responsible for the safe and productive performance of four shift crews, two mine services crews, the metallurgical team and the warehouse for the WRP site. Responsibilities include being the mine manager's representative in his absence, safe stockpile management, operational budgets, product quality and recovery and meeting HMC (heavy mineral concentrate) production targets.After the completion of the WRP project in May 2015, I am now looking for my next challenge after six and a half very rewarding years with Iluka.

The role of Senior Metallurgist is responsible for a small team of metallurgists and a metallurgical technician. Our team is directly responsible for product quality and recovery, as well as having responsibilities as the site RSOs, plant improvement projects, instrumentation and samplers' integrity and laboratory operations. My role includes being the custodian of the TSF and has daily OHS duties with the team.I am involved in the site supervisor programme and assist with running the Shift Coordinators' meetings.This position reports to the Production Superintendent.

Leading the processing department of 34 staff during the period of relocating the processing plant from Kulwin to WRP. Ran the staff through personal development plans, safety planning sessions, supervisors' meetings and overseeing operations staff performing field duties during the relocation period.

Dealing with daily issues of running the gravity separation plant. Generating continuous improvement (CI) innovation projects for safety, cost reduction and production enhancements throughout the plant. Managing the CI projects. Report generation for management reporting.

Got One Mildura was a retail fishing, firearms and outdoor store. I established the store as part of the Got One franchise group and rapidly became the premier store in the region. We took pride in our approach to customer service, as most of the business was repeat custom from locals and regular visitors from up to a 300 km radius. Sales grew at approximately 10% per annum, resulting in a $2 million turnover business in my final year.I had four full time staff and several casuals. Two department managers coordinated stock ordering and staff rosters following my return to the mining industry. I sold the business in February 2013.

Working in the "bene" plant in heavy media separation of Iron Ore. We had a team of up to 5 project metallurgists and one production metallurgist to optimise the plant, run pilot plant work as well as developing productivity, safety and environmental improvement projects.

Performed various roles during my time, being responsible for the metallurgical performance of all furnaces and the sinter plant at some stage during the 7 years.Filled roles as acting production and metallurgy superintendants on occasions.Filled shift supervisor role for the last few months before I left for the Iron Ore position.
