Manage multi site (10) operations around the UK, where SITA UK employees are undertaking a range of waste operations on our clients sites. Such as material segregation, compaction/bailing, hazardous waste management, operation of paper sort lines, own fleet collections (Roro’s, FEL’s, Bring banks etc) and the use of sub contractors. To ensure the operations are configured in a way that delivers best value for both SITA UK and our customers utilising Quality Management and Process Improvement methodologies.

To lead the preparation of project tenders for the processing team (HWRC’s, Treatment/disposal, DMR etc), from pre-qualification up to contractual / financial close. Sell SITA UK to public sector customers by developing and delivering commercially and technically robust solutions and bids. Manage multi-disciplined bid teams and handling multiple projects and developing relationships with new and existing public sector customers.• Win and close local authority procurement opportunities• Lead, manage and control the bid process from start to financial close• Ensure that all bids put together are done so to an extremely high standard. Lead the team through many changes, from the introduction of new business processes, new waste collection services to the harmonisation with other contact centres. Agent of change:First team to introduce a corporate Customer Relationship Management system and supporting IT systems. Introduced a range of service enhancements for the recycling and refuse service; created a new DSO team for the collection of glass and domestic batteries. Strategic vision: Assimilation of national and corporate directives and policies, production of service plans and business plans. Politically astute -Worked in Local Government for several years at a senior level, working closely with elected members. Successfully re-designed, re-tendered and mobilised the recycling and refuse collection service, during a time of political change.
