I started out my career with an EPA consulting firm as a FoxPro programmer. My responsibility was to maintain all PCs in 5 branch offices operating under the company’s SOP. I also maintained the FoxPro database application for various projects.I then made a move and began working for a consulting firm as a software engineer. I was a member of the software and product development team. I used C language and Oracle SQL on HP9000 Unix. The software developed was under the supervision of the FDA. I was intensively trained and applied software development cycle methodology which was required by the FDA.I was then promoted to software development manager and led a team to develop a warehouse distribution software. The distribution software was designed for ship verification, directed paperless picking, inventory control and bin management. It was an EI ASN 850 label compliance system using radio frequency handheld devices and bar code technology. The software was used in large warehouses and distribution centers. At another point in my career I was a certified MAS90 PVX programmer for several years. I automated EDI to a MAS90 sales order module and integrated it with other 3rd party application. I also developed a route delivery software that is capable of directing product delivery, delivery verification and signature capture using a Symbol handheld device with Microsoft Mobile 6.5 operating system.
I started as a Software Engineer and was then promoted to Software Development Manager.My responsibilities included software product development, budget, coding standard, testing, product release and support.
