I started out in the Lubricants industry in 1984 when the School i attended experimented with work experience, it was the very first School that was chosen to experiment and send Children off to experience the world of working life.I was sent to Rock Oil for 2 weeks work experience, this was just 2 weeks before the summer holidays and our task was to write about our experience during the holidays, I must of impressed them! I spent the rest of the summer holidays working there earning an eye watering £20 per week and £5 and a bacon sandwich for a Saturday morning, a huge amount of money to 14 year old boy.34 years later and having gained the knowledge about the products and how the processes worked within Rock gave me a great advantage in sales, it allowed me to explain the Technical know-how in layman's terms and educate the consumer. But as the years flew by I new that I needed a new challenge in my life, with opportunities few and far at Rock, i had to look elsewhere, I'm now 50! if I don't do something now, I will never do it. Syntol Lubricants Ltd is what I found or rather they found me, a new start up business just 12 months old when I joined them. The Director Johnny, I had known and worked with at Rock Oil for a few years, we got talking and came up with a plan to get Syntol Lubricants recognised within the industry as a quality brand, and do it as quickly as possible, this was a challenge for both of us, especially during the Covid lock down!6 months later and Syntol Lubricants has grown 5 fold, quickly becoming a recognised brand, sourcing it's raw materials from all the finest additive companies and achieving things that was not thought possible by such a fledgling company. We produce a beautiful retail pack supplying shops up and down the country, we supply Garages for both Automotive and Commercial vehicles, Agricultural and Horticultural Lubricants, Motorcycle Lubricants for both domestic and the Racing teams, we have vehicles that are suitable for difficult access points and we can do this with an unrivalled service at a great price.What do we want to achieve? We want to be a million pound business with inside 2 years! but we want to do it responsibly, we have new Technical ways to blend our Lubricants cutting our carbon footprint on energy used, we only use single corrugated cardboard for packaging whilst most other manufacturers use double corrugated cardboard, we do this using specially designed bottles used to support the box itself, and we are constantly looking at other area's of the business upon where we can improve.
