UMTS feature developer for the HSDPA platform and leader of the uplink processing group that implemented this in Xilinx FPGAs and DSP S/W. Created the development environment with Unix scripting and a set of C utilities. Developed internal features of the Lucent CDMA ASICs including the downlink section of the EV DV ASIC. Modeled the scrambling, encoding channelization, modulation functions in C++ and then implemented them while leading a small team of ASIC developers on the downlink. Developed code to test and boot the ARM processor core and was able to run the device as both a Smart model in simulation and as a synthesized core placed in an IKOS simulator. Wrote models of the PCI bus and other test features to support simulation of this the ASICs and later the FPGA based designs.
