* Receives and reviews a wide variety of requisitons; support areas requiring an increase depth of knowledge. * Outsource and insource suppliers for multiple commodities and services to fulfill MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) requirements.* Interview vendors to obtain information concerning product/service, new options, technologies and money savings.* Review bid proposals from vendors and recommends into contracts within delegated authority. Evaluate and award purchase orders.* Review and renew blanket contract orders.* Negotiate and establish payment terms with new suppliers.* Overlook Logistics actions by coordinating and expediting shipments (land, air & ocean) in a timely manner with freight forwarders and transportation carriers to achieve cost effectiveness.* Maintain records of purchase orders and approves bills of payments. .* Qualify suppliers and service contractors.* Prepare monthly reports and forecast commodity trends in a proactive manner.* Enforce conformity with established policies and procedures.* Discuss defects with vendors / end user and initiates correctives actions.* Create procedures SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and recommendations, improve strategies and add value to purchasing and supply management process.
