I have been involved in all of the strategic plan projects as well as the redesign of the Claims storage in the data repository.Key Responsibilities include:ETL development of data marts, application databases and the central data warehouse repository using Data Services ETL toolset running on a Windows Server / Windows 2000 -2008 SQL Server platforms. Business Objects universe design. Business Objects report creation.Analysis and liaison with the user base.Reconciliation between systems.Technical documentation to support developers and testing teams.Documentation of standards required by the development teams.Offshore training for outsourced ETL developers and testers; 2006

Canopius is a large insurance syndicate trading at Lloyd’s of London. Canopius is the final result of various takeovers and mergers amongst a number of smaller syndicates. As these changes took place the number and type of system platforms grew.I worked for the group through many of these transitions, which has given me a wide breadth of experience of systems and methods ranging from Business Objects on Oracle platforms to Reporting Services on SQL Server 2000 and DB2.Key Responsibilities include:• The Build and Maintenance of Business Objects Universes.• Creation and Modification of procedures to build summary tables either in Oracle for BO or SQL Server for MS Reporting Services. • Scheduling of report delivery using either UNIX scripting, BO BCA Console or Report Manager's scheduling utility. • Working with the user base to analysis and document report requirements. • MS Reporting Services development and testing. • Conversion of Business Objects reports to MS Reporting Services.• Creation and maintenance of MS DTS packages used by month-end reporting • Reconciliation and testing of the Data Warehouse, reporting anomalies to the 3rd party supplier. • Creating and maintaining MS DTS packages to refresh operational tables into the data warehouse for reporting. • Maintenance of test environment warehouse refresh from live environment. • Analysis, development and build of Fact / Dimension tables to load into various Data Marts using DTS for Analysis Services.

Key Responsibilities include:Running up to 20 databases on 3 IBM F50 UNIX servers. Backup and recovery of the servers and databases. Creation and refresh of development databases. Scheduling overnight reporting routines for exception reporting, Risk Registration to Lloyd's and the build of summary tables for BO reports.
