He came to NZ in 2004 to establish the spa at Hotel Du Vin before moving on to become the General and Inspectorate Manager of SPCA Auckland where he increased the prosecution statistics by over 400%. A qualified trainer and assessor in Security, Fitness, First Aid, Sales and Management, David holds, in addition, a MSc, BA, Post Grad Dip in HR and a Post Grad cert in Terrorism Studies, a distance learning Law degree (LLB) and a Diploma in H&S). David is a member of the NZ Institute of Management. New Zealand Association of Training and Development (NZATD), the Chartered Institute of Management a Fellow of the Institute of Sports Management and a Graduate member of the NZ Institute of Safety Management (GradNZISM). The Trust is a legacy CCO of Auckland Council. We deal with the provision of security services to the local community and the eradication of graffiti or tagging. In addition we train our safety patrol teams in nationally recognized qualifications to assist them from unemployment to full time employ. We have currently a 91% success rate in this area. We have also reduced the tagging from 30,000 to under 1000 per month. Recently due to a change in Auckland Council policy and funding had to undertake a disestablishment and sustainability review to maintain the validity of the operation. Due purely to the loss of the Graffiti funding and having reviewed the operational accounts with our Chair it is clear that in order to sustain the Trust and allow it to continue its good works that certain sacrifices have to be made. So in order for this to happen and having completed a complete rationalization of the operation, I have tendered my resignation from my post effective 27th September 2013. This is this only logical decision as it means that only one person leaves rather than the Trust closing its doors.
