As Chair of the TDIC and Scientific TF, I am responsible for directing the REACH Consortia in order to maintain all aspects of dossier Compliance and related scientific programmes. This has encompassed all aspects of consortia management from budgets, scientific and regulatory planning as well as coordination of communications with co-registrants and SIEF members. As Chair of the TDMA Scientific Committee, I have directed all aspects of the science programme to defend the use of TiO2 in all applications. This has involved defending the recent EFSA Opinion on TiO2 in Food, the CLH Intention to classify TiO2 as an inhalation carcinogen which recently resulted in the annulment of the classification at the European Court of Justice and building the science for continued use of nano-TiO2As Chair of the Regulatory Committee, I have represented the industry at high level advocacy meetings with UK regulators (UK HSE, BEIS, DEFRA and FSA), European regulators (DG Grow, Environment, EFSA, ECHA, MCSA, European Parliament and Council) as well as Global regulators (US FDA, Health Canada, FSANZ, Anvista, Turkey, UAE, JECFA)This has also involved directing the strategy to defend TiO2 through CLP, REACH, Nano, Food, Feed, Toys, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutics, Food Contact Materials, Ecolabel, Occupational exposure and toxicological / exposure risk assessmentI have also heavily contributed to the TDMA Communications TF shaping advocacy, web page and formal regulatory media with multiple presentations to Stakeholders at National and International Conferences and meetings

As a Global Product EHS Toxicologist at Huntsman, I work mainly in support of the Chemical Company to address toxicological issues and provide product stewardship for its new and existing products. I also provide technical (scientific) support to industry-wide trade associations, consortia and task forces involved in human health research, risk assessment, and regulatory agency interaction.I have over 15 years industrial experience working as toxicologist for pharmaceutical, FMCG, chemical, retail and consultancy companies in the UK. I am aEuropean Registered/Certified Toxicologist (ERT), a member of the UK Register of Toxicologists and British Toxicology Society (BTS).
