I have been employed with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board for 22 years, the Supervisor of the Business & Learning Technology Department Client Service Centre from October 2015 to 2021 and Team Lead of the OCDSB East Learning Technology Team (non-union management position). Advancing through positions within Business & Learning Technology Department, increasing scope, technical and supervisory skills, and responsibility to plan, direct, coordinate and supervise operations and employees within the Client Service Centre while monitoring calls, providing feedback, developing procedures, implementing effective customer service and providing technical support. Being employed at the OCDSB as an Instructional Service Support Technician, Field Service Technician, Network Monitor Technician, Application Analyst, Supervisor of Client Service Centre, Team Lead of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board East Learning Technology Team and volunteer Health & Safety Officer at 133 Greenbank over the past 22 years has allowed me to develop knowledge of relevant Board policies and operational procedures, Board standards, server management, account administration, operating systems, backup methods, network usage/management, software installer creation/management as well as infrastructure, communications and software concepts for the full range of customized Ottawa Carleton District School Board computer configurations. This experience has also provided me with current knowledge of operational procedures for elementary, secondary, Ministry and other educational sites. My experience also includes successfully fulfilling the Supervisor of Field Services position in an acting role in 2019 moving into the permanent Team Lead of the OCDSB East Learning Technology Team in 2021.
