ResponsibilitiesI. Strategy & Planning• Plan and formulate all aspects of business development, including securing contracts and business dealings of governmental and private civil engineering development projects.• Review and analyze proposals to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.II. Acquisition & Deployment• Develop budgets for Research and Development projects.• Develop project timelines and monitor progress. • Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring projects.• Recruit, hire, and train department staff, evaluate staff performance, and develop goals and objectives for staff.• Negotiate contracts with consulting firms to perform research studies.• Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives outside of budgets.• Oversee and review acquisition of hardware, software and consumables for R&D projects, and maintenance contracts within their department.III. Operational Management• Direct and coordinate research and development activities for organizational products, services, or ideologies.• Manage budgets for existing Research and Development projects.• Developing business processes and an operations manual for Research and Development, and the ongoing review and continued development of these.• Provide resolution to technical problems creatively and independently, and in a cost-effective manner.• Ensure equipment operation and technical developments adhere to applicable laws and regulations.

• Conducted tutorial classes for several key chemical engineering courses, inclusive of Thermodynamics, Polymer Sciences, Transport Phenomena and Heat Transfer.• Collaborated with various course coordinators to determine the scope of the courses to be covered in each semester.
