About David López Jiménez

Soy licenciado (2004) y doctor (2009) en Bioquímica por la Universidad del País Vasco. Realicé mi tesis doctoral en la Unidad de Biofísica, centro mixto UPV-EHU/CSIC, donde aprendí las técnicas bioquímicas y biofísicas aplicadas al estudio de las membranas lipídicas. A continuación realicé una etapa postdoctoral (2009-2017) en la Universidad de las Islas Baleares y la empresa Lipopharma Therapeutics, S.L, una spin-off de esa universidad. Durante tres años trabajé en un proyecto Torres-Quevedo sobre nanopartículas y ácidos grasos sintéticos con carácter antitumoral. Posteriormente, y dentro de la misma empresa, los esfuerzos se centraron en el estudio de moléculas sintéticas lipídicas para combatir el cáncer y enfermedades neurodegenerativas. Fruto de esos años como investigador postdoctoral me han permitido participar en diversas publicaciones científicas y una patente. En el campo de la gestión, puse en práctica mis habilidades organizativas a la hora de poner en marcha un sistema de compras, organización de tareas y registro de los recursos de un laboratorio usando herramientas web para hacer más eficaz el trabajo en grupo.En el campo docente, he participado en la elaboración e impartición de clases prácticas durante el período predoctoral y de clases teórico-prácticas durante el período postdoctoral. En esta última etapa recibí la mención de “Colaborador Honorífico” en el departamento de Biología de la Universidad de las Islas Baleares durante el período 2013-2015, 2016-2017 y de "Profesor Invitado" durante el curso 2015-2016. Estoy acreditado por la ANECA para "Profesor Titular" y poseo el Curso de Adaptación Pedagógica (CAP).Desde 2017 desempeño mi labor profesional en la Universidad del País Vasco. Desde marzo de 2017 y hasta agosto de 2021 trabajé en un proyecto relacionado con la leucemia mieloide aguda , y desde septiembre de 2021 comencé una nueva etapa investigadora en el laboratorio de "Comunicación celular y transcripción de Cancer" (https://vtorranolab.com) . Desde septiembre de 2018 compagino la labor investigadora con la docencia universitaria. Actualmente ostento una plaza de profesor adjunto (profesor ayudante doctor) en el Dpto. de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular de la Universidad del País Vasco.EZINA EKINEZ EGINA
