I am currently working as a Data Quality Analyst, working closely with transformation projects to exploit our data to the best of our ability. HMRC's objective is to put our customers at the heart of everything we do. To become more customer focused, we need to create the best quality image of customers using the data we hold about them in our systems. Historically, we have always held tax data in silos within each tax regime. My work involves looking at the data we hold throughout the estate and working with the transformation space to bring this data together, apply data standards and cleanse data, to produce a Master Customer Record. Furthermore, I am also providing assurance from a data prospective on projects across the company, to ensure it will have a positive effect on the quality of data we hold and help the business area exploit that data for everyday work efficiency.
