I am an extremely honest and passionate designer/developer. I transitioned from a very successful 12-year career in Medicine to follow my passion for design and within that, I am encapsulating UI/UX principles as well. I have both designed websites to be coded and coded websites from designs (most notably for HSBC).Without blowing my own trumpet and with humility, I have superb interpersonal skills. I am an extremely effective communicator. I know how to extract information from people and diagnose problems quickly. I know how to lead and take authority in challenging situations. I know how to listen and be sympathetic. I know how to be in a team and work together for the betterment of the client/customer.I have been in this industry now for 7+ years and have been responsible for recruiting and being recruited. In my case, I am self-taught and by that extension, I find it very difficult to quantify my level. I'm definitely not junior level but I am not lead/senior material yet. I, unfortunately, don't have a wealth of qualifications to prove my worth. As a result, there will be holes in my learning and gaps in my reasoning. However, I am very keen to learn and grow and I want to do this within the right company.My ideal role/position is a hybrid of design and code, ultimately focusing on either and having the flexibility to dance back and forth. I have a passion for design and being able to code said design into a tangible product is extremely satisfying.Lastly, I am looking for a company that is willing to take a risk and mould me into a powerhouse. Should I not be suitable for this current role maybe you would consider me for other similar roles within the company.
