• Supported all aspects of start-up and commissioning of 5 Data Centers totaling to 74 MW of IT.• Support Commissioning efforts for expansion of operational data centers with NO customer impact.• Manage all electrical systems for a new data center campus.• Supported all aspects of start-up and commissioning of an electrical retrofit in a live data center.• Supported all aspects of start-up and commissioning of three 25MW, 100K ft2 data centers.• Supported all aspects of start-up and commissioning of three 32MW, 150K ft2 data centers.• Onboarding new support staff and building a cohesive and integrated team.• Contributing member of design review for new facilities across country.• Working with numerous contractors and vendors to set up PM programs and budget.• Member of company wide infrastructure support team for all company data centers.

Serve as a subject matter expert on complex mission critical systems. Assess problems with complex mission critical center equipment and systems. Devise, communicate, oversee, and implement methodologies which resolve the problems. Ensure service is performed in conformance with standards and procedures, act as liaison with vendors and subcontractors regarding problem resolution, and perform service as required. Recommend and write policies and procedures which enhance performance and service. Must be available to work emergency service and shift work as required. Responsibilities also include representing a worldwide leader in the development, construction, and commissioning of two 13.2MW data centers in sequence. Other duties at this time include reviewing and commenting on design documents for another 32MW data center under development. I have also participated in the commissioning of a 500kw microsite.

Perform technical and administrative project work. Develop and implement project plans. Review work performance and products for adherence to standards, schedules, and specifications. Schedule and manage vendors and subcontractors making preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. Produce analyses and documentation. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly walk-through of facilities supporting mission critical center and office operations. Operate, perform, and facilitate routine and emergency service on electrical switchgear, diesel generators, HVAC systems, and fire alarm and suppression systems which may include self-performance of specific subsystems. Ensure strict adherence to Methods of Procedure (MOP’s), Standards of Procedure (SOP’s), company policies and procedures. This position requires specialized training and or certification on specific equipment (e.g. APC). Must be available to work emergency service and shift work as required. Responsibilities were applicable to a 25MW Gen 4 data center and a 20MW modular containerized data center as well as commissioning efforts continuing in both facilities.

Performed the associated ACFM responsibilities as well as many Project Management activities during ongoing construction in an operational facility. Noted achievement was sharing the responsibility in staffing a fully functional and competent team of nine critical facility technicians while transitioning into and operating a 25MW Gen 4 data center from the construction phase through commissioning to operation in 3 months.
