Responsible for all aspects of the 1999 DR Dodge Ram headlight program including part • design, material selection, DFMEA’s, DVP&r’s, space claim and design for manufacturing.• Responsible for overseeing and directing the actions of two CATIA operators.• Completed the prototype phase of the program in just 5 months and the production phase in 18 months.• Utilized two new materials never before used in forward lighting (this allowed us to use thermoplastic instead of thermoset).• Incorporated orbital welding to help reduce manufacturing scrap (cosmetic) and cost.• Additional projects include launch support for the 1997 Dodge Dakota, Project engineer 2002 Dodge Ram headlamp redesign.
