CurrentFreelance Key Research Skills and Strengths• A track record of diverse publications including briefing papers, research reports, and book chapters on nuclear policy and radioactive waste issues . • Preparing and presenting multimedia lectures and giving oral or written testimony to a wide array of audiences including academic fora, politicians of all parties, Parliamentary Select Committees in UK and abroad, business managers, pressure groups and public inquiries, especially on nuclear policy and radioactive waste .• Detailed knowledge of gaining important information from UK and European Parliaments. Over 25 years experience of working with politicians of various parties, of drafting of parliamentary questions and digesting official energy policy and nuclear- specific documents. • Broad experience in lobbying the media and appearing on various television and radio programmes in UK and abroad (eg Russia and Japan) on nuclear policy issues.• A widespread network of contacts in the UK, Europe and EU institutions along with especially USA, Russia, Sweden and Japan, on nuclear issues, as well as broader energy issues.• Practical experience of the role of the European Parliament and Commission in influencing policy development & direction of nuclear waste management .
