Started as a class 1 driver on the Marks and Spencers contract, doing store and trunk deliveries.As my experience grew I was given further responsibilities which included-:New vehicle familiarisation trainer Daf and Volvo.Continental VDO tacho trainer.Induction of New full time and agencies Drivers.H&S risk assessor.Writing of safe systems of work.Briefing H&S safe systems of work and compliance to colleagues and new starters.Training of Equipment New user and refresher.Before being made redundant in June I worked at the new Peterborough depot helping to get it up and running using all of my skills above. I finished my time with DHL feeling that myself and the team I worked with had achieved a good start for the fledgling depot, it was a very rewarding experience.
