Power Delivery Planning - Industrial Power Team:Perform load flow studies in PSS®E and TARA software to identify normal or single contingency concerns and voltage violations associated with potential new substation locations.Plan and perform scope development for dedicated industrial substations following DTE Energy specifications and planning criteria while meeting the customer’s requirements.Navigate projects through the capital budget process from scope and financial approvals to project completion.Update and maintain system records regarding ratings at the substation and model all new industrial substations in the subtransmission planning case.Investigate power quality/reliability complaints for customers, identify the root cause, and propose solutionsOversee the installation of new power quality meters and maintain power quality databases, servers, and the PQView software.Aid in the training and mentoring of less-experienced engineers and student co-ops.Successfully led many continuous improvement initiatives tackling standardization, training, documentation, and process improvement for the Power Delivery Planning team.

Create simulations and perform load flow analyses on distribution circuits in order to create plans for engineers in case of storm outages or other emergency situations. Successfully trained fifteen new student interns and managed two projects while serving as the student lead.

Energy Storage Team

Overhaul and troubleshooting on F/A-18 Generator Converter Units for Fleet Readiness Center Southwest aboard Naval Air Station North Island.

Repair of flexible conductors, circuit board repair, multilayer conductors and laminates, illuminated panels, and removal and replacement of soldered lead components and surface mounted devices.

Collateral duty inspector responsible for quality assurance matters pertaining to maintenance actions on F/A-18 Hornet electrical, instrument, and flight control systems. Ensured quality maintenance in order to eliminate defects and customer rejects. Performed in-process and final inspections on equipment deemed ready for issue.

Leading a team of 15 employees in daily operations by successfully managing production, supervising, and mentoring resulting the goal repair time for the work center to decrease from 10 to an average of 4 days.

Inspect, test, maintain, and repair components, assemblies, subassemblies, modules, cards. printed circuit boards, and ancillary equipment whose aggregate constitutes a complete aircraft electrical/flight control system or subsystem at the intermediate maintenance level. Expertise in F/A-18 Hornet Generator Converter Units, lead acid batteries, electro-mechanical actuators, instrument panels, grips, and various other electrical equipment. Familiar with Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program 4790.2B (NAMP).
