Lazada is among South-East Asia’s leading e-commerce players, acquired by Alibaba in 2016. This role reported to the global Chief Marketing Officer, and held responsibility for marketing performance across 6 countries, including:• Planning, monitoring and steering the performance of $100m+ in annual marketing spend with responsibility for the budgeting, target-setting and channel spend allocation processes across 6 markets (SG/TH/ID/PH/MY/VN)• Running initiatives (e.g. discount pricing optimisation) that reduced our customer acquisition cost 40% in 1 year• Managing a team to produce analytics and reporting to support Executive/Board decision-making

Served as an advisor to the Prime Minister and Cabinet of Vietnam on a project led by former UK PM Tony Blair:• Worked with a team of Vietnamese legislators to define the country’s SME and start-up policy framework• Analysed opportunities for public-private-partnerships and foreign direct investment in infrastructure projects to support the country’s GDP growth while minimising debt accumulation
