Pioneer head of the Ombudsman Directorate at the Inspectorate of Government responsible for the discharge of the Ombudsman mandate of the Inspectorate of Government as provided under Article 225(1) of the Ugandan Constitution.- Promotion and fostering of strict adherence to rule of law and principles of natural justice in administration;- Promotion of fair, efficient and good governance in public offices;- Investigations of actions or decisions of public officers or authorities acting in exercise of administrative functions.The Ombudsman mandate typically involves investigation of complaints from citizens about bad governance or maladministration and violation of rule of law in public offices. It also involves investigation and reporting on systemic weaknesses observed in public administration.My assumption of this position came after recognition that the Inspectorate of Government was not paying sufficient attention to its ombudsman function and yet it forms one of the three core mandates spelt out under the Constitution of Uganda for the Inspectorate. I spearheaded the efforts to refocus the institution in this direction and I continue to work towards development of greater capacity in this regard mostly out of recognition that corruption is driven largely by administrative weaknesses and shortcomings in the public sector.

Acting head of the legal department responsible for coordination of all legal matters affecting the Inspectorate before the courts of law and providing legal advisory services and related legal support services concerning all matters related to the functioning of the Inspectorate of Government.

Legal officer and team leader responsible for management of prosecution of corruption related criminal cases at the Inspectorate of Government.

Legal officer and personal assistant to the Inspector General of Government responsible for providing direct legal support to the Inspector General at short notice as well as helping to coordinate and arrange the Inspector General's work schedule as and when required.

Legal officer responsible for investigation of complaints, providing legal advice and drafting documents whenever required under the Ombudsman Unit of the Directorate of Legal Affairs.
