FEMAP/NX Nastran is used extensively along with HyperSizer Pro/Express, hand analysis, and other tools to analyze and size aerospace structures. Stress analysis of primary and secondary aerostructures, specializing in composites - spacecraft, aircraft (commercial, GA, and military UAS), pressure vessels/bulkheads, fairings, bolted and bonded joints, etc.Some Current and Recent Projects:- Structural sizing of a spring landing gear for a 1650 lb VTOL UAV; used nonlinear transient FEA with contact and friction.- Shock and Random Vibration Analysis of a Composite Over-wrapped Pressure Vessel- NASA Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle- Composite VTOL UAV- Planned and designed static structural testing of a 200lb net captured UAVSoftware Tools/Sales, Providing First Line Support and Expert Level Training for:- FEMAP/NX Nastran: Advanced FEA Modeling- HyperSizer Pro/Express: Composite Analysis and Optimization; a phenomenal design tool to complement and enhance the more traditional FEA process.

Focused studies in aerospace structures and structural optimization. Was a teaching assistant for courses in aerospace structures, computational methods, and structural optimization. Researched methods in design sensitivity analysis for gradient-based shape optimization.

Developed multi-body dynamics models and conducted simulations to aid in the design and testing of a flapping wing micro-air vehicle. MBDyn, which is an open source multi-body dynamics tool, was used for this project.

Investigated new methodologies for turn-down map generation as part of the Aero-Compressor group at the Gas Turbine Lab.
