Dr. David Dudas is President and Founder of Expeditionary Energy, LLC, a Federally certified Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business, focusing on designing, deploying, and delivering renewable energy solutions to government and private sector clients. Dave achieved the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army, serving over 26 years which included both stateside and overseas assignments, notably operational deployments to Bosnia-Herzegovina for Operation Joint Endeavor and to the Middle East and South Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to retiring from the military, he was an Associate Dean of Curriculum and Associate Professor at the College of International Security Affairs in the Department of War and Conflict Studies, National Defense University, Washington, D.C. In this role, he instructed U.S. and International Counter-terrorism Fellows to understand and address the social, political, economic, and security dynamics that shape today’s threat environment. In his previous assignment, he served as a special advisor in the Commander’s Action and Initiatives Group, U.S. Central Command, Tampa, Florida, under Generals David Petraeus, James Mattis, and Lloyd Austin. At West Point, Dave was an Assistant Professor of International Relations and was Executive Officer for the Superintendent’s Annual Leadership Conference. A former airborne air defense officer and Army strategist, Dudas is a graduate of Ashland University (1986) where he played collegiate football and holds a master’s degree (2005) and Doctor of Philosophy (2012) from Rutgers University in international relations and political science. He has published several articles to include “Nature of the Public Diplomacy Challenge,” Eisenhower National Security Studies, and co-authored a book chapter, “Recanting the Ghosts of Vietnam,” in Handbook of Defense Politics (Routledge). Dave is a frequent speaker in the U.S. and abroad on international affairs, counterterrorism, and leadership.
