Responsible for the Zyscovich Higher Education Practice and serve as the Principal in-Charge on selected projects. Over the last 30 years, I had been privileged to have been responsible for the design of over 75 student life projects at over 35 colleges and universities providing over 43,000 beds of student resident housing, within 13 million square feet of construction at a cost of over 2.5 billion dollars. This work has combined with classroom and STEAM facilities of many types to make the concept of "living and learning" come together as reflected by many diverse projects. As Higher Education Leader, I work within a highly acclaimed Zyscovich team, which is focused on the design of educational environments at all scales and levels of student development as a reflection of the firm's commitment to life-long learning. My projects reflect my belief that student success is shaped in a big way by the learning environment and that learning occurs at every step along the way on a campus, in the stairs, hallways and in the classroom. Student engagement and interest in learning is promoted by environments that spark imagination and speak to the minds of students.

Accomplishments include design of projects at various scales and locations throughout the United States and internationally. In the United States, David served as the Practice Leader and Chief Design Officer in charge of all organizational design initiatives, as well as all design and innovation aspects, of the AtkinsRealis Building & Places practice involving any Buildings or related infrastructure development managed from U.S offices.
