Hired to transform a travel email newsletter into a travel company, SCF/Going is a member first subscription travel company founded in 2008. I reported directly to the CEO. The company was looking for a product leader to transform and level up their product organization. As a strategic product leader, I drove organizational change by challenging the status quo and guiding the company’s trajectory through critical inquiry. 🔹 Built trust within the team by addressing issues openly and engaging in one-on-one conversations, fostering a collaborative creative culture.🔹 Fostered a culture of learning through experimentation and revealed a majority of signups desired features we did not offer, shaping a new Product strategy.🔹 Introduced modern Product management practices (Continuous Discovery/Dual Track Agile/AB Testing, etc) focused on effective "rituals and artifacts" that improved both quality (hitting customer & business goals) and delivery cycle times (from several months to weeks).🔹 Guided the executive team in empowering their teams by reverse engineering feature requests into Strategic Bets, Traction Metrics, and Tactics using Gib Biddle's DHM framework, ensuring strategic alignment.
