This included reviewing both the major container platforms (for example RedHat OpenShift, IBM Cloud Private, Docker Enterprise) and cloud PaaS solutions, TCO calculations and delivery plans. Developed enterprise-wide containerisation/Kubernetes/Devops integration guidelines and deployment strategy.• Designing an IBM Cloud Private Kubernetes platform to support IBM tools – this involved creating new VM hosting standards and filesystem layouts for technical teams to deploy to meet both Unilever and IBM requirements.• Reviewed encryption and compression technologies across application and hardware stacks, supporting technical teams in devising performance tests to understand the impact• Application Performance Management (APM) tools – evaluated and assessed several leading APM tools, including Cisco AppDynamics and IBM ICAM, and their use cases and fit for Unilever requirements.• EDB Postgres platform review; evaluated and developed standards and principles for Enterprise DB hosting on-prem and in the cloud as part of an enterprise-wide realignment of database hosting strategy. Developed the database IaaS and PaaS hosting strategy for Unilever across on-prem, AWS and Azure.
