I have built knowledge and experience specifically in the Asbestos and Hazardous Materials field and am a Licenced Asbestos Assessor in NSW. I am developing in the the hygiene field having conducted projects on Noise, Indoor Air Quality, Dust and Mould. I'm growing these skills with the goal of becoming a Certified Occupational Hygienist. This position provided specialist technical support to the ambient air monitoring network which is run by EPA Victoria as part of their NEPM obligations. It also provided technical support to the Francis Street Project which studied the impact of the transport industry on the environment and health of residents on Francis Street in Yarraville.The main tasks carried out by this role included the electronic, physical and software calibrations of sampling equipment including Partisols, Hivols, TEOMs, BAM and meteorological equipment. This included preparation and analysis of samples for particulate matter 2.5 and 10 microns. These tasks also included fixing pumps, cleaning and replacing sample tubes and checking systems for any anomalies or failures.
