I am partner of MacGregor Stanford Kruger,a city based law firm which represents corporate and private clients ,South african and overseas in commercial,shipping,property and litigation matters.Our approach is based on both preparation and innovation.I deal in commercial matters,negotiating,stucturing and drafting share acquisition,shareholder, joint venture,business acquisition, franchise,licensing,distribution and empowerment transactions in a broad range of industries including property,health care,insurance,aviation,leisure,shipping,sea fisheries,branding,media,manufacturing,energy,wholesale,retail and logistics.

I grew up as a lawyer at Fairbridges,the oldest law firm in the southern hemisphere,where I was an articled clerk, professional assistant and partner.Whilst there,I specialised in shipping and international trade focussing on Admiralty Court litigation.My clients were fleetowners and their underwriters based in the major shipping and insurance jurisdictions such as the Uk,Japan,China and the US.The international nature of shipping meant that my cases were heard in the UK,French,and Netherlands High and Appeal courts,the Hague and other courts overseas in addition to the South African High courts and Supreme Court of Appeal but I also worked extensively on commercial matters relating to,inter alia,shipbuilding,charter parties and cross border transactions.
