I am Chief Science Officer and Director of Analytics at Environmental Health & Engineering, Inc. (EH&E) in Newton, Massachusetts. I lead projects in two broad areas of environmental health, (1) health risk assessments for chemicals, infectious agents, ionizing radiation, and pharmaceuticals, and (2) decarbonization of building and transportation systems. I also routinely advise on strategies for communicating about health risks of exposure to hazardous chemicals and microorganisms. I routinely direct the work of experts in environmental health, epidemiology, toxicology, biostatistics, and engineering. I manage a group of talented environmental and mechanical engineers, environmental and occupational health scientists, and data scientists. I have also had the pleasure of working with international and U.S. organizations to develop training and technology transfer materials targeted to developing economies and under represented communities. I am a board-certified in industrial hygiene and toxicology. In addition to my work with EH&E, I am an Adjunct Associate Professor of Environmental Health at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health where I teach a course on exposure assessment to students in MS and PhD programs. Prior to joining EH&E, I was a tenured faculty member at the University of Georgia.
