Provide enterprise wide Unix System infrastructure support for complex system and interconnected technologies that require day-to-day support and administration in order to maintain optimum performance and utilization. Provide primary system administration in AIX and Linux; as well as support in ERP systems, LDAP, Databases, CAS and Web Servers to include:1. Install, configure, and maintain UNIX server equipment, disk arrays, tape libraries; UNIX routine operation functions; maintain high end UNIX servers IBM p770 and current and new UNIX projects.2. Install and configure, web servers such as Apache-Tomcat, and Apache-httpd, Weblogic, 3. Provide data protection, recovery and business continuity; test and validate disaster recovery and business continuity methods in UNIX environment. 4. Perform routine backup and recovery for data protection and integrity for UNIX servers; monitor UNIX infrastructure which consists of complex sets of equipment and system software; provide proactive remediation.5. Perform proactive monitoring for high availability, System data protection, backup and restore, disk storage management, hardware and OS maintenance and application maintenance. 6.Install, configure and maintain highly optimized Virtualized UNIX environment using IBM LPAR and VMware virtualization technologies7. Maintain a high available environment consisting of different HA techniques such as load balancing, clustering, LVM and RAID.8. Maintain UNIX infrastructure environment at Suffolk datacenters during business hours and off-hours; troubleshoot AIX and Linux networking services and protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and HTTP.
