I am an experienced Account Manager with a broad skill-set that spans roles in both IT and business. I have a distinctive mix of business, commercial and technical skills gained from working in the data and systems arena for the commercial and IT sides of businesses. My focus is collaboration with customers to create compelling solutions that will drive their business forward. While my experience and background is grounded in IT, I have also held roles in the areas of Finance and Risk for a number of different organisations. The common thread through my career is enabling organisations to make the most of their IT and data-assets. My distinctive, varied experience is valuable in my current role as Account Manager - I understand the pressures my customers have to both keep the lights on, and to invest in improving their business's performance. I can also lead teams to create pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions and services which customers can underwrite to their management. I've been lucky to work with some fantastic colleagues and teams throughout my career and in a number of different industries. Some of the memorable highlights include:- Being given the support and opportuntiy to move across roles in CGI and into my current commercial position.- Being employee number 17 for Quadstone in the 90s dot com boom - varied duties included pre-sales consulting and furnishing the company flat when we set up a US office- Creating an analytical model to inform a customer what makes a pub successful - surprisingly it is more than stocking the finest of ales, the presence of a front garden makes a huge differenceAway from work I'm a sports fan and active member of the local athletics club, competing as often as injuries allow in cross-country or on the track, where I masquerade as a middle-distance runner. If you’d like to connect, please feel free to reach out and tell me more.
