I started my own retail business in 2007 and am an ambitious, driven and creative individual. For the best part of 2 decades I built up an online company from scratch later incorporating a proper retail space encompassing over 2000sq ft stocking high end brands.Outside of my retailing, I have always had an interest in design, photography, video, and art software which were all areas I excelled in at High School, and regrettably did not pursue a creative career. At the time the internet was in its infancy and the mobile phone phenomenon was yet to take hold. Thankfully the creative side never left me and has always left an itch to be scratched.I have been a really keen mountain biker for around 3 decades, and had the first ever GoPro camera and would edit videos of adventures with my friends and any events that I participated in. Although, it wasn’t until I received my first DSLR as an engagement present that I started to develop a proper eye for photography by obsessing over learning the exposure triangle, post-production, workflow and then many elements of advanced photography. I then purchased a drone with a 4K camera and by this time it was obvious to me that motion picture was where I wanted to take my hobby nextRecently I jumped at the chance to get involved with a local film producer who has a movie being streamed on Amazon from December 2024. Arriving at the filmset I threw myself right in and naturally found myself helping with props and assisting the production team wherever I could. I keep getting invited back so am involved with the trailer production for an offshoot and a sequel which will hopefully progress to full production.When I get to combine all these hobbies I find it to be true escapism. The whole process of planning and the journey, to capturing the moments, the anticipation of getting back to review the material, and then the editing and the post-production. I find myself getting fully absorbed by it all.I’m always pushing myself to learn something new and now I seek creative growth more than ever. Everybody has a story to tell and I want to be someone who helps them tell that story to the highest standard possible and exceed clients expectations.
