 Read the gauges that showed the temperature of the molten metal in the cupola and the amount of air coming out of the cupola, and make the necessary adjustments. Checked gauges every 15 minutes and maintained 6 tuyeres and repaired blast air damage. Refactored with a 78-inch diameter and brick to repair the cupola's wall lining. Pulled a prop from the cupola's lower doors when turning off my furnace to let residue materials fall out twice a year. Damaged copper coil tuyeres and blast lines inside the cupola were repaired. Performed preventative upkeep, repairs, and lubrication of machinery and equipment. Inserted shims, changed tension on nuts and bolts, or positioned pieces to set necessary clearances between moving and stationary parts using hand tools and measurement tools. Welded, repaired, and constructed machinery or equipment. Constructed and disassembled machinery, tools, and parts using a cutting torch or other cutting apparatus.

 Prepared surfaces for lamination by sanding. Instructed new hires about laminating.  Acted as lead man of a crew of six. Used adhesives, fittings, soldering, welding, and soldering to fasten fiberglass and copper pipework that had been trimmed to length. Fitted pipes and applied fiberglass sheets to surfaces. Completed paperwork related to hazardous chemicals. Held a safety meeting to instruct coworkers on the usage of such hazardous chemicals. Worked with Dualam in a number of power plants and carried out a variety of tasks.
