I have a decade of local government and non-profit experience focused on delivering social services to the folks in our community who are the most in need and the most vulnerable. My core values are public service, empathy, loyalty, adaptability, and a spirit of volunteerism. Currently, I am employed by The Open Door Network as their Director of Workforce Development & Innovation. The Workforce Development program aims to employ community members who are unhoused, struggling with alcohol/drug addiction, and who have a history of incarceration. I currently manage the Workforce Development Division, the Corporate Compliance Section, the Grants Unit, the Data Unit, and the Rape Prevention/Education Unit, however, I have covered the Accounting Section and the Human Resources Section for other executives while they were on extensive leaves of absence or there was a vacancy. I lead a team of approximately 168 employees and manage a multi-million-dollar budget. Previously, I worked at the Kern County Sheriff's Office as the founding Program Specialist over the Inmate Stabilization and Assessment Team. We served Kern County by rendering the highest quality of custodial and social services to incarcerated folks with the most debilitating mental, behavioral, and intellectual disabilities.I received my education from UC Riverside, earning a BA in Philosophy, and CSU Bakersfield, earning a Master of Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Administration. I am currently enrolled in the Executive Management Ph.D. program at Claremont Graduate University.
