I have 30 years pension industry experience across multiple functions and have been with RPMI (formerly Railway Pensions Management) since 1989. A fellow of the Pensions Management Institute with a LLB degree in Law, I am a Chartered Director with the Institute of Directors and operate as Deputy Chief Executive for RPMI, the executive arm of the Railways Pension Trustee Company Limited. My responsibilities cover all trustee and governance services, administration, communications, marketing, corporate finance, technical, policy and client services for all clients of RPMI, both Rail and third party. I am also responsible for the Finance and IT functions for the group of companies and the 22bn pension scheme.I have significant senior strategic management and governance experience. Currently leading a significant transformational programme involving organisational and cultural change. Highly motivated, conscientious, hard-working and loyal individual with high integrity, great communication and inter-personal skills. Independent thinker managing the needs of multiple stakeholder groups in quite a political environment. Financially literate and motivational, developed effective and successful teams, enjoy complex challenges.I am also a non-executive Director on the Board of Health Shield Limited, appointed in October 2012. It is a friendly society offering cash plan products to corporates and individual retail clients. I am Chairman of the Business Development and Investment Committee.
