I used to work as an Art Director and was employed by the following Ad agencies: J Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi. I was fortunate enough to have worked on numerous prestigious multinational brands and to have won many local and international advertising awards.I’m now a self-employed photographer and retoucher, you can view my image library work at gettyimages.com.I have also partnered with an old advertising college of mine Dimitri Otis and together we have started MO Studio where we offer our professional photo editing and production skills to other companies and individuals. My affinity for architectural photography is probably because I studied product design and love the challenge of trying to convey the experience of beautiful three dimensional buildings though two dimensional images. It’s a subject matter that suits my temperament as I enjoy collaborating with talented architects and designers. The photographic shoot is the result of a conversation between the architect or designer and myself and the finished images are usually stronger as a result of this teamwork.I live in Cape town with my family and enjoy reading books, drinking coffee and going on bicycle adventures.Speaking of bicycle adventures, I'm also a founding partner of Everyday Cycling Supply Co The idea behind Everyday Cycle Supply co is that we supply stuff for the everyday cyclist. We don’t mean “everyday” like something “commonplace,” “unremarkable,” or “ordinary”.We mean the person that gets out and rides everyday or almost everyday: Using their bike for commuting, for work, for errands, for fitness, for sport, for touring, for adventures, or just for the joy of riding.
