I work with hugely talented colleagues on the world's leading custom chip design automation tool, Virtuoso, used and driven by the major semiconductor and design houses. The phone in your pocket probably has components designed using Virtuoso! My career spans all areas of microelectronics, from low level semiconductor devices up to software design automation tools. I have experience in chip fabrication, design, design automation tools, people and project management, and enjoy the different challenges each brings.I engage with local universities and I am currently a member of the Heriot-Watt Computer Science Industry Steering Board. I enjoy developing talent as a Cadence IMPACT Mentor, a worldwide internal development program for Women in Mentorship. I lead the Edinburgh R&D Photonics team, and our intern and graduate recruitment programs.Special Interests: Innovation, creative thinking, staff development, electronic design automation, photonics, nanoelectronics, mentoring, coaching, soft skills, university liaison, internships and recruitment.
