NEWSMy role as design lead on the News app redesign encompasses the delivery of iOS, Android, mobile and tablet apps as well as Global and World Service versions. I work closely with the CD to shape the proposition and define solutions throughout the process. With a project of this scale the design challenges are great and multi-faceted as we consider treatments for editorialised content as well as dynamic content powered by linked data. I manage a team and work closely with Product, Engineering and Editorial. Stakeholder management is a key component to the success of the project and I have passionately championed great UX and design throughout.SPORTI was design lead on the award winning BBC London 2012 Olympics – billed as the first truly digital Games and the BBC’s most successful online event ever. I led one of two teams reporting to the Head of Design. The sheer size and importance of the project meant that great communication between the wider team was essential. We worked very closely with Product and Engineering to deliver designs that dynamically pull in live data, video feeds and content for every sport, event, country and athlete in the Games.GELI worked with R/GA in developing key projects to evolve the BBC Global Experience Language. My role was to ensure the core principles of GEL were maintained whilst developing signature experiences and the global toolbar

My role was UX lead and Art Director in a new product development team. During this time my primary project was Ditto, a new social entertainment guide. I was instrumental in the development of Ditto from concept to final delivery. I was responsible for distilling user needs and business requirements into a tangible and well designed service as well as defining overall creative direction.At Bauer I worked on the re-launched of the Heat magazine website. The site was completely rebuilt to make it scalable, improve its commercial capabilities and to provide a more immersive user experience. My role involved defining the information architecture, art direction and conducting user testing.
