Today David Marcus works as an entrepeneur and businessman. Since 2005 he has co-owned and operated Own the Zone Sporting Goods LLC., a company which markets the popular OTZ vibration dampeners for the tennis market. In 2011 Marcus founded Eco Sports LLC, a company which developed the patent pending EcoGrip®, the world's first high performance biodegradable overgrip which can be used in tennis, badminton, squash racketball, baseball, golf and gardening. EcoGrip and OTZ band dampeners are used by players, pros and coaches around the world. Compared to all other overgrip wraps which take decades to biodegrade, EcoGRIP decomposes within just one year after changeout. In July 2015 Eco Sports and Own the Zone entered into a sponsor partnership agreement for EcoGrip with Mats Wilander and his company Wilander on Wheels - WOW. Mats Wilander is a 8 time Grand Slam tennis champion and a popular commentator on Eurosport TV. While playing with EcoGRIP during the spring and summer of 2017 WTA pro CiCi Bellis saw her worldwide ranking rise from #59 to a career high #35.Marcus has owned and operated several small businesses. He travels extensively, enjoys meeting new people and working on sustainable projects. David Marcus has practiced corporate and commercial law for nearly 30 years in the United States and in Israel. He has worked as a general or corporate counsel for Lannet Data Communications, Madge Networks, Avaya Communications, Lucent Technologies, Innovia, ECI Telecom, Verint, Ceragon and Creo which was purchased in 2004 by Kodak.
