I first became involved with computers in the 80's fixing and writing programmes. Upon leaving school in 1992, my dyslexia prevented me from pursuing any formal training in IT as training here (South Africa) was not geared for any special kind of learning. However, this did not stop me from pursuing a career in this field. I have persevered and worked my way up within a small IT company doing desktop supply and support. This progressed into networks and servers. My experience here leads to working at other ICT companies as a Desktop and Network technician and Engineer. Contracts and projects included upgrades at Toyota's manufacturing plant in Durban as well as an AntiVirus changeover in New Zealand at the largest pharmacy group in the country among others. On my return home from New Zealand, I focused on my business in supplying total ICT solutions to a range of small, medium and large enterprises. This included onsite technical support for local and national corporate clients (see cover image). Without any formal training, I have built my small business in IT. This is due to my perseverance in identifying solutions and ensuring attention to details and the needs of my clients when I implement solutions. I've had my own businesses and been in management positions. However, I am happy to work my way from the bottom up in new situations and scenarios. I am hardworking, analytical, loyal, and personable. I have developed my skills in people and project management. I believe these traits will be a great asset to any company and any roll.
