I am a chemical process engineer with 7-8 years experience in engineering and about 25 years on agency as a labourer or operative of process . I am an associate member of the ICHEME from 1994 and am looking for a mentor to take me to full membership .Green issues are very important "these days"​ in the process industry saving the planet by reusing waste energy and the reduction of green house gases Carbon dioxide and Methane by anaerobic digestion or by chemical reforming to ethanol, methanol or ethylene are just examples. Carbon catchment is the future of this world and will be an investment in the future for our children...We must act now to stop GLOBAL WARMING and conserve this world's resources. We have a future not just science fiction in Fusion reactors , Nuclear waste reprocessing and fracking........we just need a solution.....a final solution in all these matters and we are the scientists and engineers to do it!If Fracking can be made "greener and safer", if we can reduce coal, gas and oil imports in a very competitive global market and keep our overhead costs under control . I love my country and will do my very best to preserve my family, my friends and my faith in God and I am a God fearing man .I have been tested physically, emotionally and even spiritually but ultimately the fiscal security of my company, my family and friends is the most important thing.As a humble engineer I have to take on the financial markets , local politics and the way people see the world through my church work .....We are running up hill against a storm .......there are great demands on the government pocket and my investments in a green future are not top of the bill but very much on the bottom line.I try to influence the next generation trying to win hearts and minds but there is a stubborn block vote of pensioners and those in middle England that place their needs above the humble union of the nations and the country I believe in.David Mark Brown AiCHEME
