I head up the very successful UK Construction team at Lockton Insurance Broker (world’s largest privately held, independent insurance broker). Advising contractors, developers and lenders on risk and negotiating insurance premium and coverage for some of the largest developments in the UK. Revenue more than tripled in the 7 years as Head of UK Construction. Expert in CAR, TPL, EL, DSU, LDI/Resi Warranty and good knowledge on PI and CPL/EIL. Proficient presenter including to circa 150 lenders, borrowers and advisers at the Simmons & Simmons De-Risking Development Finance briefing in May 2018 and most recently (November 2020) to 206 on-line attendees on the Fenwick Elliott webinar on the JCT form of contract and challenges of working in existing buildings.

I started my insurance career handling construction claims, which has given me a very good technical understanding of all the construction classes of insurance. My current position is as an Account Executive at Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) and have extensive experience in successfully managing large (£1bn +) annual construction accounts. This role includes advising on all insurance and risk management related matters as well as negotiating large annual as well as project policies (e.g. M8 (£550m) CJV, Forth Road Bridge (£850m) EL).
