• Lead change and continually challenge internal procedures, specifications, and work-instructions. • Producing designs, models, drawings and bills of materials, create, review and approves designs, drawings, specifications, and related documents.• Ensuring products are designed and produced in compliance with current API 6A, Q1, and related industry and company standards and policies.• Supervising department by assigning and reviewing work, leading/mentoring members of the engineering team, and fostering a collaborative environment.• Identify root cause of problems. Develops alternative solutions alone as well within a team setting, while communicating associated benefits and risks.• Work with both external and internal manufacturing to develop machining and related procedural process improvements for all existing and new procedures.• Assist Purchasing department in obtaining vendor material and process quality.• Assist the Quality Assurance department and Supply Chain Management Department in performing internal and external audits to maintain, as well as qualify new suppliers, as required.• Challenge, test, and evaluate both prototypes and existing products to determine design limits and needed improvements
