Hi! My name is David Markowski. I served over 30 years in the United States Army and U.S. Army Reserve. I began my diverse military career as a Field Artillery Officer, but soon transitioned into the U.S. Army Special Forces which gave me unique, worldwide experience including a special operations masters degree at the Naval Postgraduate School. Later in my career, I led Joint and multinational teams in information operations, cyberspace operations, and nuclear surety. Throughout those 30+ years, I participated in operations and exercises around the world. I supported the United Nations (Haiti), NATO (Afghanistan), and Special Operations Task Force - Philippines (JSOTF-P), and I also served as the senior ranking U. S. officer and Co-Director for Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) exercises in the Ukraine and Romania. I finished my Army career as a Battle Watch Commander (Operations Center Director) in the Global Operations Center for U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. As a Battle Watch Commander, my responsibilities included day-to-day force direction and management of our Nation's space, cyberspace, and on-alert nuclear forces ensuring credible, safe, secure, and effective operations in these global domains. I now support the American Red Cross as a volunteer for disaster response and blood service programs.
