I am a full time clinical neuropsychologist at the VA Boston Healthcare System and an Assistant Professor with Boston University School of Medicine. Though my clinical expertise is with the assessment of neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer's disease), I see a wide variety of clinical referrals, including patients with psychiatric (e.g., PTSD), neurological (e.g., TBI, epilepsy), and neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., ADHD, Learning Disorders). Perhaps the most rewarding part of my job is working with trainees, to help develop their clinical skills and competencies. In addition to clinical assessments, I am also involved in translational research. My primary research aims entail developing a computer algorithm to predict the onset of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD), five years before diagnosis, using patient's electronic medical records, Recently, my research has also shifted to include the the utilization of telehealth services to conduct neuropsychological assessments during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am also involved in research hoping to understand the neurocognitive sequalae of COVID-19 infection. Finally, I am working with collaborators to develop and validate a novel performance validity test.
