I have worked for 11 years as an Ofsted Inspector on both a full and part-time basis, inspecting Sixth-Form and Further Education Colleges and prison education. I have also contributed with HMI to national research projects and survey work for Ofsted in the areas of social inclusion, equality and diversity and the management of Sixth-Forms.I was Curriculum Director at a college where I contributed significantly to it maintaining it's Ofsted Outstanding status for ten years, leading the college through periods of major change. My main achievements were around student performance and improving the quality of teaching, learning, assessment and research. I also helped to shape the direction of the college's work with High Schools and develop strategies which have led to highly successful recruitment over the long-term and financial stability for the college.I have lived in Spain for five years and taught and managed Languages in schools and Sixth-Forms, both in Spain and the United Kingdom, while leading several trans-European projects aimed broadly at widening students' cultural and linguistic horizons.Throughout my career, I have attained tangible success working with under or marginal-performing organisations, departments and individuals.
